Ali Uhazie is a native of southeastern Michigan and moved to Arizona to take advantage of the warm weather, a plethora of outdoor activities, and to escape the snow! She first became interested in a career in physical therapy after a sports-related injury in high school. While recovering from a broken leg she was never prescribed physical therapy and went back to playing competitive soccer as soon as possible. Soon, she had a subsequent injury that could have been prevented with skilled physical therapy intervention! Ever since she has been dedicated to a career helping others prevent and recover from injuries. Ali graduated from Oakland University in 2017, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and joined Desert Edge Physical Therapy in December 2020. She has always had a passion for treating a variety of patients and learning new things from each and every patient.
Outside of work Ali enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Theodore and Alvin. She also enjoys hiking, swimming, reading fiction novels, cooking new things, and playing any type of game! Ali understands the importance of movement and activity in her own life and loves helping restore that for her patients! Ali loves to analyze subjective and objective information from each patient and develop a treatment plan to achieve his or her goals.
The most rewarding part of Ali’s job is establishing genuine relationships with patients, learning what is important to them, and returning them to doing what they love! To help patients reach their goals, Ali uses a combination of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to each individual patient.
Ali is excited to serve the areas of Peoria, Sun City, and Vistancia. We would love to welcome you, your family and friends, and patients to Desert Edge Physical Therapy. Call today to see how Desert Edge Physical Therapy can help you move better so you can live better!
